Attractions Railey Beach

Railay Beach, a peninsula in southwest Thailand between Krabi and Ao Nang, is unique due to its geography. Although actually a part of the Thai mainland, it is isolated due to geography, namely the steep rock cliffs that act as a natural wall to completely block access by car. This has the twofold effect of making Railay reachable only by boat, and of ensuring that the area stays peaceful and unspoiled. Manmade tourist attractions are few on Railay, but it is an ideal vacation spot for those who love tranquil nature and beach related activities.

Nature

Nature is the prime attraction that brings travelers to visit Railay. The peninsula’s striking combination of enormous limestone formations and lush tropical greenery is visually striking. There are trails that allow you to explore the various parts of Railay – East and West Railay, and Ton Sai and Phra Nag. Make sure you are well stocked with water, sun hat, map and compass. Some of the awesome sights you’ll see are great views, limpid lagoons, hidden valleys and fascinating wildlife like cute monkeys and exotic birds.

Cultural Attractions

While Railay does not have any museums or other cultural institutions, it does offer several interesting activities to offer you a taste of Thai lifestyle. The first is authentic Thai cooking classes. There is also a yoga retreat and a spa.
